# Introduction

**OUR STORY**

Introducing BitcoinPizza — a tasty mash-up of our love for Bitcoin and everyone's go-to comfort food, pizza!

Imagine a cryptocurrency that fills your digital wallet the way the aroma of fresh pizza fills up a room. We’re serving up $BTCP, a token crafted with the same devotion as your favorite late-night pie, geared to spice up both your taste buds and your asset portfolio.

So, how did BitcoinPizza saunter into the crypto limelight?

Envision this: a squad of die-hard degens—yep, those fine peeps who live and meme coin dreams—gathered after a night full of crypto disappointments that looked more like rug pulls or chaotic community takeovers.

Sick of the same old song and dance and famished for some real change (and perhaps a slice or three), we decided it was prime time to toss our own dough into the crypto kitchen.

That night, driven by a hunger for innovation and good ol’ cheesy slices, BitcoinPizza was fired up as the next big meme coin.

But here’s a fun topping—this whole thing actually started 14 years ago when Laszlo Hanyecz infamously jeeted 10,000 BTC for a couple of pizzas.

We've pledged to only trade our $BTCP for more BitcoinPizza. Why, you ask? Because with more $BTCP in the mix, we're not just firing up tokens; we're aiming to slice through global hunger.

Join us on May 22, not only to tip our hats to the legend who blew 10,000 Bitcoin on a pizza daydream but also to revel in the official BitcoinPizza Day. Let’s dig into this delicious journey together—one slice at a time, sprinkled with a generous helping of laughs!
